TOMMYxGIGI A/W 2016 Capsule Collection

Gigi and Tommy Hilfiger walking in the show finale.

When Gigi revealed she was working on a capsule collection with Tommy Hilfiger I was over the moon. I am a big fan of Gigi as a model I think she's very good at what she does and Gigi's always promoted a healthy lifestyle which I think is an important thing for her to do as a model. On Instagram she's been teasing her followers (including me!) with pictures of the collection and I just couldn't wait until fashion week to finally see everything in the collection. I can honestly say this was one of the smartest collaborations at fashion week (besides Alexander Wang and Adidas but we'll discuss this later). Tommy's designs clash with Gigi's aesthetic which is very important for a capsule collection. Gigi is a true Tommy girl.

The looks below are some of my favourite picks from this collection:

Look 1
Look 2
Look 5
Look 6
Look 10
Look 12
Look 17
Look 18
Look 30
Look 32
Look 34
The collection contained simplistic or as I call them "Tommy colours", navy, brown, black, white and red. It's clearly meant to attract younger audience which is not surprising, but I definitely think there are some timeless pieces in his collection. I think both the navy and the brown coat are staple winter pieces you'll want in your closet. My absolute favourite piece is the very first jacket Gigi walked out in, I think it's such a statement piece and it has a beautiful structure. Also I love the styling statement piece of putting a bandanna around every model's neck, it gave every look a festival vibe. I think what's very special about this line is, every single one of the outfits that came down the runway presented a Gigi look. Gigi as a casual, sporty, festival and even "paparazzi caught" girl.
And where best to present this line but in a fun carnival environment surrounded with not only with press and buyers but also Gigi's friends and fans who waited so long for this collection.

What's Been on My Fall Playlist

Jumper Zara | Headphones BÖHM

As I'm sitting all wrapped up in my cozy dorm room, while holding some hot tea, I decided to share my fall playlist. Besides fashion, music is another one of my passions. Whether it's going to concerts or just sitting in my room by myself while The Smiths are spinning on my record player, music has always been important to me. So here are some old, as well as some new tunes that have been making the cold San Francisco wind a little more bearable.

Blacks & Burgundies

Dress Forever 21 | Shoes Cathy Jean | Sunglasses Quay

What I love most about San Diego is the fact that even at the most urban spots there's a nature oasis, even in downtown you can bike or walk to Balboa and be surrounded by trees, flowers and some of the most beautiful plants. The spot we took these pictures in was across a house neighbourhood in Poway, it looks deserted but it's far from it. The next house was literally 30 feet away from where these were taken. I chose to this dress because the moment it was shipped and put out on the floor at Forever 21, I had to have it. I love the colour and the lace, as well as the bell sleeves, it makes twirling in it fun. x

La Jolla Daze

Bodysuit Forever 21 | Skirt H&M | Boots Zara | Bag Kate Spade | Sunglasses Quay

La Jolla Cove is my second favourite place in San Diego, I love walking along all the small boutiques and shops while you breathe in the clean air from the ocean. Not to forget all the beautiful galleries and murals all over La Jolla, every parking lot or an alley is decked with interesting and beautiful murals where you'll usually find someone taking pictures against it for the aesthetic of their Instagram feed, like me!

Adidas x Gabe

What I'm wearing: Jersey Adidas | Jeans Topshop | Shoes Adidas | Sunglasses Quay

What Gabe is wearing: Shirt Adidas | Pants Adidas | Shoes Vans | Visor Adidas | Sunglasses zeroUV

The Blog needed a revival and what could be a better way to come back than having one of my good friends Cassie take pictures of Gabe and I. I've always wanted to collab with Gabe but just never knew what or how exactly I should do it. Naturally with all the Adidas hype, there we were at the top of a parking garage in downtown San Diego over looking the city from Market St. The area around Market St is my favourite area of downtown here in San Diego. This is where all the cute restaurants and cafe's are, and it's also a five minute walk from Petco Park! Since I'll be leaving for college in about a week or so, it's nice going to all the places I'll miss while I'm up in San Francisco, so of course the first location I chose was downtown San Diego because nothing beats the beautiful sunset in San Diego than watching the sun set behind tall skyscrapers and Seaport Village. x
